A Citizen Liberated in the Border Area of Al Qasr – Al Hermel after being kidnapped by a Gang

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 10/6/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate liberated the citizen (AA.Z.) in the Al Qasr – Al Hermel border area on the Lebanese-Syrian border after a series of raids and arrests that led to the identification of his location. The citizen had been kidnapped on 30/5/2024 by a kidnapping gang that lured him and demanded a financial ransom for his release.

The investigation was initiated with the arrestee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, and work is underway to arrest the rest of those involved in the kidnapping operation.
