The Lebanese Army Arrests 20 Individuals During Security Operations Across Various Regions of Lebanon
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Army units carried out security operations in several areas, including raids and the establishment of temporary checkpoints as part of efforts to pursue individuals involved in security-related offenses. As a result, 7 citizens and 13 Syrians were arrested, as follows:
Army units raided the homes of wanted individuals in Baalchmay, Baabda, arresting the citizens identified by the initials (KH.B.) and (M.A.) for opening fire. The operation resulted in the seizure of military-grade weapons, ammunition, and military equipment.
Army units raided the residences of the citizens (R.S.) and (KH.S.) in Wadi Ata -Arsal, arresting them for assaulting an Army patrol. Military weapons and ammunition were seized in their possession.
The citizens (Z.AA.) and (AA.B.) were arrested at the Badariya–Qobbeh checkpoint for opening fire. A pistol and ammunition were seized in their possession.
Thirteen Syrians were arrested in Wadi Harbata - Baalbek for entering and moving within Lebanese territory without legal documentation. The Lebanese citizen (A.AA.) who was transporting them was also arrested.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
