Lebanese army arrests six individuals for opening fire, Seizes weapons and drugs
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
The Lebanese Army conducted security measures in Bekaa, including raids, mechanized patrols, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints. As a result, four Lebanese nationals and two Syrian nationals were arrested, as follows:
The individuals (N.H.), (A.AA.), and (AA.H.) were arrested in Khodr – Baalbek for opening fire during a funeral procession. Weapons, ammunition, a quantity of Hashish, and military equipment were seized in their possession.
The two Syrians (Z.J.) and (M.A.) were arrested in Hortaala – Baalbek for opening fire during a funeral procession. Weapons, ammunition, and a quantity of narcotics were seized.
The individual (AA.T.) was arrested in Bar Elias – Zahle for his involvement in an altercation during which gunfire was exchanged.
Additionally, an Army unit raided the homes of wanted individuals in Al-Kneisseh – Baalbek for opening fire due to previous disputes. Various weapons, ammunition, and military equipment were seized.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals involved. An investigation with the detainees has been initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
