The Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs: Brigadier General Wissam Sabra in Beirut, Captain Elie Khoury in Kfarjarra – Jezzine, and Soldier Hussein Ghazzal in Hay Al-Sellom - Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahiyeh Janoubiyeh). They were martyred as a result of a hostile Israeli airstrike on the Khardali – Kfartebnit road (Nabatieh) on June 6, 2026.
During his visits, the Army Commander-in-Chief praised the martyrs’ exemplary conduct, discipline, and faith in the military institution, as well as their readiness to make the ultimate sacrifice. He stressed that the brutal Israeli attacks would not deter the Lebanese Army from remaining committed to its mission and responsibilities.
He also affirmed that the Army Command will continue to stand by the families of the martyrs in recognition of their patience and resilience, and will remain loyal to them under all circumstances.
