Visit of General Rodolph Haykal to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, concluded his visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which took place from June 6 to June 9, 2026, at the official invitation of his Pakistani counterpart, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Commander of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
The visit began at the General Headquarters of the Pakistan Army, where General Haykal was received with an official military ceremony conducted by a joint honor guard representing the Pakistani Army, Navy, and Air Force.
General Haykal subsequently held talks with Field Marshal Munir, focusing on regional developments and matters of mutual interest, particularly in the areas of security and defense
Field Marshal Munir emphasized the importance of the longstanding historical relations between the two countries, while General Haykal commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Army, its role in promoting regional security and stability, and its efforts in support of international peacekeeping.
The discussions were followed by an expanded meeting attended by senior officers from both sides, during which participants reviewed avenues for enhancing military cooperation, particularly in the field of training, as well as ways to support the Lebanese Army in addressing current challenges.
During his visit, the Army Commander also toured several military companies and defense manufacturing facilities, where he was briefed on emerging defense technologies and ongoing industrial development programs. Discussions also covered areas of mutual interest and opportunities for future cooperation.
