VISITORS OF GENERAL AOUN

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in this office in Yarzeh Ambassador Günter Sautter, Director General for International Order, the United Nations and Arms Control in the presence of the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried. They discussed ways to support the Lebanese Army and the continuation of the assistance program, especially for the naval forces. He also received the Minister Abdul Karim Al Jabbar Al Basri, head of the Iraqi National Security Service, at the head of an accompanying delegation. The discussion focused on ways to enhance security coordination between the Iraqi and Lebanese armies.
