VISITORS OF THE LEBANESE ARMY COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF
The Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, received in his office in Yarzeh the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Gregory Galligan, accompanied by the Canadian Military Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Jawad Al Khairy. During the meeting, Ambassador Galligan stressed the importance of sustaining support for the Lebanese Army amid the current challenges. Discussions also covered ways to enhance cooperation between the Lebanese and Canadian armed forces.
General Haykal also received members of the Parliamentary Committee for the Protection of Civilian Property and the Prevention of Systematic Destruction, which included MPs Fadi Alameh, Kassem Hashem, and Ashraf Baydoun. The meeting addressed mechanisms for documenting acts of demolition and destruction carried out by the Israeli occupation in southern villages and towns.
