شهادة للجيش أمام المجتمع الدولي

كائنًا ما كان الشأن الدبلوماسي، والأسلوب السياسي، في العلاقة مع لبنان، فإنّ الثابت أنّ للمؤسسة العسكرية اللبنانية تأثيرها الذي يحمي الداخل ويصون الحدود، ويمتدّ ليتولّى حصّته من حماية السلام في الخارج، بالحجم الذي تتيحه الإمكانيات، والمجال الذي تسمح به الأعراف والقوانين.

وما ذلك إلاّ بفعل الجهود المستمرّة التي تبذلها وحداتنا، وتضحياتها التي لا تنقطع، في معرض الإخلاص للواجب، والوفاء للقسم، خصوصًا وأنَّ العدوّين حاضرين ناظرين إلينا، إسرائيل والإرهاب، يبرزان المخالب طمعًا بأرضنا وعداءً لواقعنا الاجتماعي، الذي ينال اهتمام العالم بحكوماته ومنظّماته الدوليّة وصولًا إلى الجمعيّة العامة لدوله. هذه شهادة إضافية ببلادنا وجيشنا، شهادة تضاف إلى الشهادة الأولى الأساس، ألا وهي شهادة المواطنين المخلصين الذين يقفون خلف مؤسستهم داعمين، ويوفدون أبناءهم تباعًا وتكرارًا للوقوف في صفوفها الأمامية مواجهين الأخطار، باذلين العرق والدم، وآخرهم من كان ضحية الألغام الغادرة التي زرعها الإرهاب عند الحدود الشرقية.

الثقة بدور المؤسسة وتماسكها في أصعب الظروف، دفعت العديد من دول العالم إلى مدها بمساعدات سخية، من أسلحة نوعية وذخائر مختلفة، وتقنيات وأجهزة مراقبة وإتصالات متطورة، بما فيها بناء أبراج مراقبة على الحدود، هذا بالاضافة الى التعاون في مجال التدريب.

 وما يلفت هذا المجتمع يتمثل أكثر وأكثر بقدرتنا على ضرب الإرهاب، وإفشال مخطّطاته، وهو ما بدا غير يسير أحيانًا على جيوش كبيرة تجرُّ أرتالها في الميادين والساحات، ومن يعاين مشاهد مراكزنا،  ودورياتنا الراجل منها والمؤلّل، في أودية حدودنا وعلى سفوحها، حيث تنبت الأخطار من بين الأتربة والصخور، لا بدَّ أن يشهد أمام الغير ويصدق في شهادته.

A testimony to the Army before the International Community
 Whatever the diplomatic issue may be and regardless of the political method adopted by foreign countries in their relation with Lebanon, the one thing that remained unshakable is the impact of the Lebanese Military Institution that is responsible of preserving internal stability and security at the border and stretches to serving peace outside the Lebanese borders according to the capabilities placed at the disposal of the Army and in conformity with the laws and regulations.
This feat is achieved thanks to the continuous efforts exerted by our military units and their uninterrupted sacrifices which are constantly offered in line with the principle of devotion to perform the duties and fulfilling the oath especially since both enemies, Israel and terrorism are lurking in wait and showing off their fangs and their avidity in our land as well as their animosity toward our social reality which draws the attention of world governments and international organizations and the United Nations General Assembly.
This is an additional testimony to our country and to our Army that can be added to the first and most important testimony that is the testimony of the loyal Lebanese citizens who have always stood side by side with the Military Institution and repeatedly sent their sons to join the ranks at the battlefronts to defy dangers while giving sweat and blood. Our most recent sacrifice is manifested in the soldier who martyred due to a treacherous IED laid by terrorist hands at the eastern border.
The confidence in the military Institution even during the most difficult circumstances and its tenacity has prompted several countries to provide us with generous support represented in different qualitative weapons and ammunition as well as sophisticated technologies, communication and surveillance devices and this includes the construction of watchtowers at the border in addition to cooperation in the field of training programs.
The successes we have achieved in striking terrorism have gained the admiration of the whole world since we have thwarted terrorist schemes despite the fact that many experienced and large armies have found this task extremely difficult. In examining our outposts and our foot patrols as well as the mechanized patrols we dispatch at the valleys and hilltops of our border where dangers hide in the soil and behind every rock, one cannot but give a true and honest testimony in front of the whole world.
